Month 10, Day 286

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

Today was the day that I officially started tracking via writing again after a two month break during the hurricane of personal life events including graduation, wedding, honeymoon, moving to a new state, buying a house, and job searching.

Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic as I have been doing for the past week.  This morning I woke up with the sun after a long, but slightly restless sleep.  For the first time in the past week, I was only moderately sore from my workout yesterday.  I like being a morning person but I did not run until an hour after I woke up because I was weeding the front yard.  When it was time to run, I did a warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching before jogging off in the light morning rain that was just beginning in Grand Junction, CO.  I ran my short loop by the nearby park and as I did, my knees and lower back called out from having been hunched over and pulling weeds.  The rain fell reminding me how lucky I was to have the weather not be hot like it has been the past week.  At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.0 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Fitness: Back at my home, I pulled some more weeds before stretching for 2 minutes and continuing my routine.  Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day.  I did 3 “sets” of each movement.  3 sets of 10 squats (30 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch.  3 sets of 15 “breaths” of planking, stretch.  I can do all of this without needing a gym.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
