Month 10, Day 289

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic waking up early in order to mow the lawn before it got too hot.  I was definitely tired and would have liked to sleep more, but I got out of bed.  As I began to mow the lawn, my leg muscles were really sore from my workout yesterday.  I like being a morning person and the lawn mowing was theraputic before my run.  I did a warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching and then took off running in Grand Junction, CO.  I ran a down a busy street to Rocket Park where I found a bar to do 5 and 2/3 pull ups, and 6 chin ups before running back to my starting point.  At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.0 miles, Odometer = --.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Fitness: Back at my home, I stretched for a few minutes while I cooled down before I continued my routine.  I did 3 sets of 16 dumbbell rows (8 each arm, 48 total) using a backpack full of books as weight, stretch.  I also did 3 sets of 8 push-ups (24 total).  I continue to enjoy my commitment to not using gym machines because I don't need a gym.

Reward time = breakfast of egg and bagel sandwich on my recently restored cast iron pan.
