Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic this morning when I woke up with the sun after a short night's sleep. I was only oddly sore in my legs which is weird because yesterday my workout was an upper body day. Hmmmm, must have been all the weeding I was doing in the lawn. I like being a morning person and I began with my customary warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching before jogging off in Grand Junction, CO. I ran my short loop by nearby Rocket Park. The only real noteworthy thing that occurred on the run was initially on the busy street there were 5 cars which made me scratch me head and wonder what those people were doing out and about so early. After the initial flock of cars, the remainder of my run was just the cool silence of the early morning. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.0 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at my home, I pulled some more weeds before stretching for 2 minutes and continuing my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 10 squats (30 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 15 “breaths” of planking, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
