Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic this morning when I woke up with the sun after a night's sleep. I was only sore in my arms because yesterday my workout was an upper body day. I like being a morning person and I began with my customary warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching before jogging off in Grand Junction, CO. I ran my short loop by nearby Rocket Park. Initially on the busy street there were cars which was par for the course. After the initial flock of cars, the remainder of my run was just the cool silence of the early morning. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.0 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at my home, I pulled some more weeds before stretching for 2 minutes and continuing my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 10 squats (30 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 15 “breaths” of planking, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
