Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic this morning when I woke up after a pretty poor night's sleep. My back hurt and I am beginning to think that it is the bed that I have been sleeping on is to blame. I was also a little sore in my arms and chest after my workout yesterday. I like being a morning person and I began with my customary warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching before jogging off in Grand Junction, CO. I ran my short loop by nearby Rocket Park. It was already warm while I was running and wearing dark shorts and a shirt amplified the hot morning sun. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.0 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at my home, I stretched for 2 minutes and continued my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 11 squats (33 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 “breaths” of planking, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
