Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic this morning when I woke up after an ok night's sleep. The sun was just beginning to warm the summer morning air and melt away the dew. I was not noticeably sore from my workout yesterday, but my legs were tight. I like being a morning person and I began with my customary warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching before jogging off in Grand Junction, CO. I ran with Lisa my favorite, medium length loop past Rocket Park. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.6 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at my home, I stretched for 2 minutes and continued my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 11 squats (33 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 “breaths” of planking, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
