Month 11, Day 328

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic this morning when I woke to a phone call after a short night's sleep.  This morning I was sore in both my arms and legs from my workout yesterday.  I like being a morning person and after putting on my running shoes, and shorts, I did a warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching before jogging near Flathead Lake near Polson, Montana.  I ran with Lisa out towards the main road and while we ran we were passed by a few cars.  It was a nice summer late morning and a thin cloud cover and light breeze made for a pleasant running temperature.  At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (3.7 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Fitness: Back from the run, I stretched for 2 minutes and continued my routine.  Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day.  I did 3 “sets” of each movement.  3 sets of 12 squats (36 total) increasing by 1 each rep today, then stretch. 3 sets of 18 lunges (9 each leg, 54 total) increasing by one each leg per rep today, then stretch.  3 sets of 16 “breaths” of planking, stretch.  While I was lunging my left knee threatened to be in pain, but it went away.  Luckily.  I can do all of this without needing a gym.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

Spiritual Reading: Faith ND

Meditation: I set my alarm for 2 minutes walking meditation and 2 minutes sitting meditation as part of my meditation practice using my stress eraser.  During the 2 minutes walking meditation (one, 6 foot section) the sensor had low batteries and would not track so I scored 0 points.  During the sitting meditation, I breathed deeply  gave up on the sensor tracking.  Ultimately, it turned out that at the end the sensor read 5, 5 more for sitting (Point Count = -,---).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.

Reward

Reward time = breakfast of pancakes.
