Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic this morning I woke up well rested after an sleep that was sporadic as I was making bread all night. I was not too sore from my workout yesterday. I like being a morning person and after putting on my running shoes and shorts, I did a warm up routine of 25 jumping jacks and some stretching before jogging off into the cool and cloudy summer morning in Grand Junction, Colorado. I ran along the busy street until I got to the park. I turned toward the less busy street and it was moderately busy as well. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.0 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back from the run, I stretched for 2 minutes and continued my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 13 squats (39 total) upping by one today, then stretch. 3 sets of 18 lunges (9 each leg, 54 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 17 “breaths” of planking also upping by 1 second, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
Spiritual Reading: Faith ND
Meditation: I set my alarm for 2 minutes walking meditation and 2 minutes sitting meditation as part of my meditation practice using my stress eraser. During the 2 minutes walking meditation (one, 6 foot section) the sensor tracked well as I focused on each motion and I scored 7 points. During the sitting meditation, I breathed deeply and the sensor again tracked well and at the end, it read 15, 8 more for sitting (Point Count = -,---). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.
Reward time = breakfast of cereal and a day of painting.
