Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
I woke with a sore neck after a night of sleeping on a red eye flight from Anchorage, AK. I was going to have to be creative with how I was going to find time for my daily personal development routine. In the afternoon, I found time to put on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, and running shorts and go for a run with Lisa. Even though being a morning person had nothing to do with the afternoon run, I did warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and a bit of stretching. I exited the house I was staying at in Grand Junction, CO and was met by a cool, sunny afternoon. We were joined by a dog who we had agreed to take on a trail run to an undeveloped area on the outskirts of Grand Junction. We began to run and I was challenged by both the 4,800 foot elevation, the dog stopping suddenly at times to sniff random bushes and poles, and chaffing on my groins from not wearing sliding shorts under my running shorts. We ran to the water tower before turning around. At the end of my route, I arrived back at house I was staying at again passing the one mile challenge (4.3 miles, Odometer = 124.9 miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Back at the apartment, I stretched for 2 minutes before continuing my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 9 squats (27 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch 1 set of 20 “breaths” of planking, stretch. As I did the last set of lunges, my left hamstring began to tighten and spasm. I stretched it a bit, but I decided to be done working out for the day.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice. I used my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 8 foot sections) the sensor tracked ok and I scored 8 points. The problem was that my left hamstring made balancing tricky. I was about to start sitting meditation when my phone rang it was an important friend so I ended with out doing 4 minutes of sitting meditation (Point Count = 472). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually.
Daily Priority #3 - Intellectual Health
I started to write on "the Russian visa debacle" and then got distracted because it was not the morning when things are slower and more quiet (words written 85, Word Count = 4689). Because there is always time to write.
Reward time = no breakfast today as a reward like usual, but I did get to do laundry which was huge for me with my recent travels.
