Month 3, Day 69

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

I continued with my fitness epic today as I woke up this morning after a night of sleep  and appreciated being a morning person.  After using the bathroom, meditating and writing, I put on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, and running shorts.  I walked outside into the sun-filed morning in west Seattle, WA.  Immediately I was hit by the below freezing temperatures.  I could see my breath as I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and a bit of stretching.  I began to run down a really steep hill that I would have to run up later to a nearby school where I was shocked that there was not a single acceptabble pull bar on the whole play ground.  I did 5 pull ups, and 3 chin ups interspersed by 3 sets of 9 push-ups (27 total).  On the run back I conquered the steep hill with a lot of deep breathing and burning leg muscles.  My route allowed me to again pass the one mile challenge (1.6 miles, Odometer = 134.9 miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Back at the apartment I was staying at, I stretched for 2 minutes and continued my routine.  I did 3 sets of 18 dumbbell rows (9 each arm, 54 total) using a full backpack as weight, stretch. I continue to enjoy my commitment to not using gym machines.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice.  I used my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 8 foot sections) the sensor tracked well and I scored 16 points.  I did 4 minutes of sitting meditation and I focused on the mental touching points while I breathed slowly. The problem was that I reset the stress eraser right as I began my sitting meditation and it never got calibrated. I finished with a point count of just  16, 0 more for sitting (Point Count = 650).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually.

Daily Priority #3 - Intellectual Health

I wrote more on "the Russian visa debacle" (words written 433, Word Count = 6359). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, as a writer because there is always time to write.

Reward

Reward time = breakfast of waffles and eggs.
