Month 3, Day 70

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

I continued with my fitness epic today as I woke up later than I wanted but early enough to still get in my mourning routine late-ish after a great sleep.  Glad to be a morning person, I noticed I was pleasantly and lightly sore both my legs and upper body from yesterday.  Quickly before my run, I snuck in a meditation session and then I put on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, and running shorts and did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and a bit of stretching.  I ran through the streets of Boise, ID as it was still dark out and the morning air was brisk.  I also found a pull up bar for tomorrow's run.  At the end of my route, I arrived back at the house I was staying at, again passing the one mile challenge (1.2 miles, Odometer = 136.1 miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Back at the house, I stretched for 2 minutes before continuing my routine.  Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day.  I did 3 “sets” of each movement.  3 sets of 10 squats (30 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch.  3 sets of 20 “breaths” of planking, stretch.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

Read Faith ND.

I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice.  I used my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (one, 8 foot section) the sensor tracked well and I scored 12 points.  I did 4 minutes of sitting meditation and I focused on the phrase "will you follow me?"  I finished with a point count of just  26, 14 more for sitting (Point Count = 676).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually.

Daily Priority #3 - Intellectual Health

I wrote more on "the Russian visa debacle" (words written 276, Word Count = 6635). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, as a writer because there is always time to write.

Reward time = breakfast of oatmeal and a banana.

Journey far,

― Joe
