Month 3, Day 76

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic as I bounced awake this morning after a good night's sleep.  I was definitely sore in both my upper body and lower body from yesterday.  Happy to be a morning person, I put on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, and running shorts and did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and a bit of stretching.  I ran again in the rain in Vancouver, WA and it did not take long before my shoes were squishing with every stride.  Add that to the wind blowing against my wet clothes and it was not my favorite run ever.  Because it was so early I only passed 1 single car on and it wasn't even while running on the road that has traditionally been bustling with cars.  At the end of my route, I arrived back at the house I was staying at, again passing the one mile challenge (1.4 miles, Odometer = 148.2 miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Fitness: Back at the house, I stretched for 2 minutes before continuing my routine.  Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day.  I did 3 “sets” of each movement.  3 sets of 10 squats (30 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 16 lunges (8 each leg, 48 total), then stretch.  3 sets of 20 “breaths” of planking, stretch.  I can do all of this without needing a gym.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

Spiritual Reading: Faith ND

Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice.  I used my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 8 foot sections) the sensor tracked well and I scored 13 points.  This is one of the first times I noticed that my balance was excellent.  I did 4 minutes of sitting meditation and I focused on "will you follow me?" and "sitting with my hands open and learning to wait."  I finished with a point count of just 32, 19 more for sitting (Point Count = 808).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually.

Daily Priority #3 - Intellectual Health

Writing: I wrote more on "the Russian visa debacle" (words written 228, Word Count = 8033). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, as a writer because there is always time to write.

Daily Priority #4 - Emotional Health

Inspiration: The Simple Dollar shares 10 Pieces Of Inspiration (Inspiration Shared = 5). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, inspirationally.

Contemplation: I reflected on past Reminiscinable Shared Experiences (RSEs) when I wrote 5 BC. It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, in my reflections.

Reward

Reward time = breakfast of cereal and a day of working on my laptop using my fitdesk (11.5 miles, Odometer = 401.5).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, as a rider even if it has been a little while since my last time riding my fitdesk.  For perspective Oregon is 401 miles across.
