Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic as woke up earlier than everyone else around after a quality night of sleep. Because I am a morning person, I was able to sneak in a meditation and writing before putting on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, running shorts, and gloves. I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching. Then I began to run through the snowy streets of Government Camp near Mount Hood in Washington. The view in the early morning light that I was greeted with of Mount Hood was unrivaled and worth the cold early morning shock of the frigid winter air causing my lungs to struggle. After failing to find anything worthwhile for a pull up bar on the out and back, I made a slight detour at the end of my run and found a tall stairwell of a condominium building that I was able to do 3 pull ups, and 0 chin ups due to the uneven nature of the stairs I was grasping. My route allowed me to again pass the one mile challenge (1.1 miles, Odometer = 158.4 miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at the condo I was staying at, I stretched for 2 minutes and continued my routine. I did 3 sets of 20 dumbbell rows (10 each arm, 60 total) using a full backpack as weight, stretch. I also did 3 sets of 10 push-ups (30 total). I continue to enjoy my commitment to not using gym machines because I don't need a gym.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
Spiritual Reading: No Faith ND today, it is Saturday.
Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice. I used my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 8 foot sections) the sensor tracked well and I scored 11 points. My right foot shook slightly in the early going making balancing tricky but I was able to overcome it. I did 4 minutes of sitting meditation but I was interrupted by another person waking up early before going back to sleep. My meditation was cut a minute short so the total read 19 points, just 8 more for sitting (Point Count = 942). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually.
Daily Priority #3 - Intellectual Health
Writing: I got to writing about "Nomadic Exhaustion" immediately this morning and I wrote a good amount, quickly (words written 404, Word Count = 9899). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, as a writer because there is always time to write.
Daily Priority #4 - Emotional Health
Reward time = breakfast of a egg & bagel sandwich and an afternoon ski down Timberline.
