Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic after a solid night of sleep. Glad to be a morning person, I chose not to meditate first and went straight to putting on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, and running shorts. I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching inside, then headed out into a lightly misting, west Seattle rainy morning. I ran a new route inspired by the other new route I had run yesterday. I have to admit that I was reminded of the beauty of running, a slight tweak to a preferred route can add great benefit in variety. At the end of my route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (1.4 miles, Odometer = 199.1 miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at the house I am staying in, I stretched for 2 minutes before continuing my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 13 squats (39 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 18 lunges (9 each leg, 54 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 22 “breaths” of planking, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
Spiritual Reading: Faith ND
Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 6 foot sections) I the sensor tracked poorly and I scored 4 points. During the 4 minutes of sitting meditation, the stress eraser continued to track really well and, to be honest, I was surprised because my thoughts had again wandered, but my breathing was good. I scored a total point count of 20, 16 more for sitting (Point Count = 1635). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually.
Daily Priority #3 - Intellectual Health
Writing: I continued writing about "beat down by the winds of change" (words written 256, Word Count = 18,809). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, as a writer because there is always time to write.
Daily Priority #4 - Emotional Health
Daily Priority #5 - Professional Health
Side Gig: I did not have time today to work on my side gig.
Daily Priority #6 - Financial Health
Money Management: I continued reading through Mr Money Mustache's posts today in May 2011 (Reading Days = 1 & 1/3), but ran short on time. I will try to pick it up again tomorrow.
