Month 6, Day 156

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic waking up very early after a great night's sleep.  I woke up sore in my legs and calves from my workout yesterday.  I like being a morning person because I quickly got to work putting on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, running shorts, and thin knit gloves.  I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching inside.  Then, I stepped outside into the cold and brisk morning in Spokane, WA.  I ran with 2 friends through Riverside State Park north or Spokane, WA.  The run was above the Spokane river and my legs were happy to be stretched.  At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (4.4 miles, Odometer = 288.3 miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Fitness: Back at the apartment I was working at, I stretched for a few minutes while I cooled down before I continued my routine.  I did 6 & 1/4 pull ups, and 5 & 1/2 chin ups.  I did 3 sets of 30 dumbbell rows (15 each arm, 90 total) using a full backpack as weight, stretch.  I also did 3 sets of 15 push-ups (45 total).  I continue to enjoy my commitment to not using gym machines because I don't need a gym.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

Spiritual Reading: Faith ND

Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser.  During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 6 foot sections) the sensor tracked poorly and I scored 8 points.  During the 4 minutes of sitting meditation, I focused on "about the third hour, he went out."  At the end of the 4 minutes, I opened my eyes to find that the sensor had not tracked any further. I finished  with a point count of 8, 0 more for sitting (Point Count = 2,405).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.

Reward time = breakfast of cereal with oats and a banana.

Journey far,
