Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic waking up after a sleep where I was up a little bit late. I woke up a little sore in hamstrings from my workout yesterday. I like being a morning person because I did a meditation session and some reading. Admittedly it was not until later in the day when I finally got around to putting on my running shoes (my stimulus), arm warmers, and running shorts. I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching outside in the sunshine of Spokane, Washington. Then I began to run through the neighborhood on the south hill where I had been working. The sun was shining causing me to take off my arm warmers before I even reach the half way point at the park, but there was also a strong head wind on my outbound running. I ran to a park that I have been using often recently and used the monkey bars of the play structure to do 7 & 1/2 pull ups, and 5 & 1/2 chin ups before running back to my starting point. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (1.7 miles, Odometer = --.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at the apartment I was staying at, I stretched for a few minutes while I cooled down before I continued my routine. I did 3 sets of 30 dumbbell rows (15 each arm, 90 total) using a table chair as weight, stretch. I also did 3 sets of 15 push-ups (45 total). I continue to enjoy my commitment to not using gym machines because I don't need a gym.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
Spiritual Reading: Faith ND
Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes walking meditation and 4 minutes sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes walking meditation (two, 6 foot sections) the sensor tracked very well and I scored 18 points as I focused on each motion: heal-up, lift-ing, move-ing, lower-ing, touch-ing, press-ing, where the "ing" is the end of the motion. During the sitting meditation, I was not really focused on anything but I still finished with a point count of 34, 16 more for sitting (Point Count = -,---). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.
Reward time = breakfast of a cereal with oatmeal and a banana. Although I admit that today I really, really did not want to work on this and I did everything else I could think of before I finally sat down and did it.
