Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic after a sleep where I woke up tired but alert and sore in my shoulderblades from yesterday's workout. Being a morning person I did some reading before putting on my running shoes (my stimulus), running shorts, arm warmers, and thin knit gloves. I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching inside before I stepped outside into the beautiful sunny spring morning. I took off running through a suburban neighborhood on the eastern edge of Spokane, WA. As I ran, I descended a hill that I knew I was going to have to run back up at some point. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (1.2 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at the house I was staying at, I stretched for 2 minutes before continuing my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 15 squats (45 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 20 lunges (10 each leg, 60 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 25 “breaths” of planking, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
Spiritual Reading: Faith ND
Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 6 foot sections) the sensor tracked ok and I scored 12 points. During the 4 minutes of sitting meditation, I breathed deeply and I finished with a point count of 26, 14 more for sitting (Point Count = ----). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.
Reward time = breakfast of a oatmeal and a banana.
