Month 7, Day 177

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic after a sleep where I woke up rested and sore from yesterday's workout.  Being a morning person I did some reading and meditating before putting on my running shoes (my stimulus) and running shorts.  I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching inside before I stepped outside into the beautiful sunny spring morning.  I took off running through a suburban neighborhood on the south hill of Spokane, WA.  The run was a solid pace and other than the noise from the cars on the streets, I had a great time with it.  At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.1 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Fitness: Back at the house I was staying at, I stretched for 2 minutes before continuing my routine.  Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day.  I did 3 “sets” of each movement.  3 sets of 15 squats (45 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 20 lunges (10 each leg, 60 total), then stretch.  3 sets of 25 “breaths” of planking, stretch.  I can do all of this without needing a gym.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

Spiritual Reading: Faith ND

Meditation: I set my alarm for 4.5 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser.  During the 4.5 minutes of walking meditation (two, 6 foot sections) the sensor tracked well at times and poorly at others and I scored 18 points.  During the 4 minutes of sitting meditation, I breathed deeply and the one time I opened my eyes, the sensor was failing to track at all. I finished  with a point count of 24, 6 more for sitting (Point Count = ----).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.

Reward

Reward time = breakfast of cereal with oats.
