Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic after a long and much needed sleep after staying up late talking to friends. I was sore from yesterday's run. Being a morning person I spent some time with friends and drove back across Washington state before putting on my running shoes (my stimulus), running shorts, and arm warmers. I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching inside before I stepped outside into the beautiful Spokane evening as the sun was setting. I took off running through a suburban neighborhood on the south hill of Spokane, WA. On the run I noticed two things. First, halfway out, I was too warm for arm warmers so I took them off. Second, I played with long and fast strides which was fun to run fast. I had a great time with it. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (2.1 miles, Odometer = ---.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at the house I was staying at, I stretched for 2 minutes before continuing my routine. Yesterday was an upper body day so today was a lower body day. I did 3 “sets” of each movement. 3 sets of 16 squats (45 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 20 lunges (10 each leg, 60 total), then stretch. 3 sets of 25 “breaths” of planking, stretch. I can do all of this without needing a gym.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
Spiritual Reading: No Faith ND, it is Sunday.
Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes of walking mediation and 4 minutes of sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes of walking meditation (two, 6 foot sections) I was interrupted by needed to make an airport run and I scored 3 points. During the 4 minutes of sitting meditation, I did not get around to doing it and I finished with a point count of 3, 0 more for sitting (Point Count = ----). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.
Reward time = breakfast of bagel and yogurt.
