Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health
Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic waking up after an ok night's sleep. I woke up very sore especially in my right hamstring from my workout yesterday. I like being a morning person because I did some reading before finally getting around to a meditation and run. Admittedly it was not until later in the day when I finally got around to putting on my running shoes (my stimulus) and running shorts. I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching inside. Then Lisa and I went for an afternoon run on a cloudy but bright spring day filled with sunshine in Spokane, Washington. We ran through the neighborhood on the south hill where I had been working. At the park that I have been using often for pull ups on the monkey bars of the play structure, there were a couple kids present but I made it work doing 7 & 1/8 pull ups, and 6 chin ups before running back to my starting point. At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (1.7 miles, Odometer = --.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.
Fitness: Back at the apartment I was staying at, I stretched for a few minutes while I cooled down before I continued my routine. I did 3 sets of 30 dumbbell rows (15 each arm, 90 total) using a vacuum as weight, stretch. I also did 3 sets of 15 push-ups (45 total). I continue to enjoy my commitment to not using gym machines because I don't need a gym.
Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health
Spiritual Reading: Faith ND
Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes walking meditation and 4 minutes sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser. During the 4 minutes walking meditation (two, 6 foot sections) the sensor tracked well and I scored 15 points. During the sitting meditation, my meditation was interrupted and I finished with a point count of 18, 3 more for sitting (Point Count = -,---). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.
Reward time = breakfast cereal with oats.
