Month 7, Day 182

Daily Priority #1 - Physical Health

Exercise: I continued with my fitness epic waking up after a full night's sleep.  I woke up a pleasantly sore but mostly just a little tight from my workout yesterday.  I like being a morning person because I did some reading before finally getting around to a meditation and run.  Admittedly it was not until late morning when I finally got around to putting on my running shoes (my stimulus) and running shorts.  I did a warm up routine of 35 jumping jacks and some stretching inside.  I stepped outside on a sunny and bright spring day in Spokane, Washington.  I ran through the neighborhood on the south hill where I had been working.  At the park that I have been using often for pull ups on the monkey bars of the play structure, there were too many kids present which made me wonder, "don't these kids have school?"  I turned around and headed for a tree that I had used in the past where I did 7 pull ups, and 6 & 1/8 chin ups before running back to my starting point.  At the end of the route, I was able to again pass the one mile challenge (1.7 miles, Odometer = --.- miles). It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, physically.

Fitness: Back at the apartment I was staying at, I stretched for a few minutes while I cooled down before I continued my routine.  I did 3 sets of 30 dumbbell rows (15 each arm, 90 total) using a full backpack as weight, stretch.  I also did 3 sets of 15 push-ups (45 total).  I continue to enjoy my commitment to not using gym machines because I don't need a gym.

Daily Priority #2 - Spiritual Health

Spiritual Reading: Faith ND

Meditation: I set my alarm for 4 minutes walking meditation and 4 minutes sitting meditation as I continued my meditation practice using my stress eraser.... or so I thought.  Really, my alarm was set for PM meaning that I ended up doing 6 minutes walking meditation (three, 6 foot sections) before I realized something was off.  The sensor tracked ok and I scored 17 points.  I wonder if putting in two different types of batteries is messing with the sensor tracking?  During the 4 minutes of sitting meditation, the sensor tracked rather poorly and I finished with a point count of 23, 6 more for sitting (Point Count = -,---).  It amazes me how far I have come from where I started, spiritually although I do note the paradox of public spirituality.
